ANNUAL REPORT 2023-24
A very good evening one and all present here. I heartly welcome our chief guest Dr. Upinder Dhar, Vice-Chancellor : Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya , Indore, Directors and members of School management committee, all other dignitories, distinguished guest, parents, staff and my dear children of
Shri Devi Ahilya Shishu Vihar, I am indeed honoured to have this opportunity to present before you the consistent upward graph of our school’s achievement and I am grateful to each one of you being a significant part of this glorious journey.
The annual report show cases the achievements and glories of our school undoubdedtly but also gives an insight to think deeply about areas of improvement
I begin with the results of class XII & X.
In class XII out of 95 students 66 students secured I division marks. Master Vedik Mehra secured I position in Science group and he has also been selected for the All india medical entrance test NEET. Second position was secured by Shubharnshu Sahu with 82% marks. In commerce group master Yashasva Chordiya secured I posited with 92.6% marks and Miss Meenal Kingrani secured II position with 88.8% marks. The over all result was 94%.
In class X Ms. Mahika Paliwal secured I position with 90.4% marks and Ms. Prachi Likhar secured II position with 89.6% marks. 72 students obtained I division marks in CBSE board. On 11th August toppers of class X and XII were also awarded with medal and certificate by mayor of Indore Mr. Pushyamitra Bhargav.
To develop leadership in students, like every year this year also student council was formed. Students are divided into four houses – Raman House, Ramanujan House, APJ House and Bose House. Mast. Narottam Joshi and Ms. Aakanksha Pardesi were selected as Head Boy and Head Girl in the senior section and Mast. Parv Jadhav and Ms. Rainy Jain became the Head Boy and Head Girl in the Junior section respectively.
The oath ceremony was conducted by Professor- Dr. Deepa Katiyal, from Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management, Indore.
Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmen ship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. I am proud to announce that Shreyansh Patel and Krishna Singh Rajora of class 7th participated in Baseball and won silver medal by securing 2nd position. Madhuri Karwal of class 11th participated in Gymnastic and secured 1st position. Amar Valecha of class 6th participated in karate (under orange belt) and secured 2nd position. it was organised by 2nd International Karate Championship at Mumbai. Rudra Soni of class 6th participated in Karate organised by Indore district Karate Championship. He won bronze medal and also selected for state level. Mayuri Bargel of class 7th participated in Badminton and won gold medal. Tishi Tawar of class 7th participated in Taekwondo championship organised by SGFI.
Coming to the achievements of Inter school activities organized by ahilya utsav samiti Indore I am very happy to share that Ekta Salogiya of class VIII won II prize in greeting card making competition and she was felicitated by the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Aditya Nath.
In painting competition Dhanshri Lotarkar got III prize. Students have participated in Debate Competition, Folk Dance, Shlok Chanting, Patriotic group song and veer ras kavya path.
Musical intelligence is also a type of intelligence according to the gardener’s multiple intelligence theory. This year our music team participated in various competitions. Raj Padliya of class XII secured I position in Tarun Ghat a singing competition organized by Sanand. He too secured III position in Mahavidlayain group in SANAND.In various inter school competitions, students participated in debate held at ILVA higher secondary school on 24th August 2023, Folk Dance Competition held at Vaishnav H.S. School on 2nd September 2023, Sanskrit Shlok Competition and Folk dance competition organized by Golden International School under Indore Sahodaya School Complex. Students of class VI to VIII participated in Yoga competition as well organized by St. Norbert School and performed very well. Our teachers also performed in competitions with great enthusiasm. Ms. Ayushi Tiwari, our mathematics teacher participated in elocution competition held at Jain Diwakar Maha Vidyalaya on 11th August 2023. and performed very well. Under the continuous professional development our learned teachers got upskilled in new ways, innovative methods and strategies in various training programs. Our 72 teachers, right from Nursery to class XII attended five days training sessions on cyber safety and security from 3rd to 7th October 2023 organized by NCERT. In lieu of same an online training on blended learning was also attended by all the teachers from 11th September to 15th September 2023 organized by CIET-NCERT. Similarly, an online training on Internet of things (IOT) and mobile security was also been attended by all the staff members.
Ms. Kiran Tiwari, Senior coordinator attended a workshop on national education policy organized by CBSE.
Teachers attended workshop on NEP-2020 at Daly college too. I have also attended two days PRP training on creative and critical thinking at Bhopal organized by Centre of Excellence including all above mentioned trainings. PRAYOG webinar for principals was also being attended by me.
In the presence scenario, blended learning approach is required and we absolutely can’t stop our students to use mobile and internet, as this is the need of an hour, but we can always apply safety measures to protect us from cyber crime. To fulfill this objective, a session was conducted in the school on Cyber Security Awareness by Mr. Rajesh Dandotiya, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Indore.
The school has an ample and well organized infra structure including modern and well equipped laboratories and auditorium. Extending the infrastructure, this year a temple for Lord Ganesha is also being constructed in the front ground area. To instill values and healthy competition, we have conducted many inhouse activities like – Skit, Rakhi making, Debate, Singing, Panel Discussion, Extempore, Hand writing Competition etc. to bring out the hidden talent of our shining stars. To spread the happiness, each and every individual including stake holders must feel valued and fortunate. To achieve this objective, on 9th December, Saturday we have arranged our annual Exhibition. Students presented various ideas through models and powerpoint presentations for instance smart dustbin, trignometry park, Alexa, Modern irrigation techniques, launching of Chandraayan-3 and many more. Students have exhibited projects in Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Language and Art & Craft. This year students of primary and pre-primary also prepared presentations and explained successfully. This year we took more collective steps towards our vision of happy classroom, happy teachers and happy students.
