ANNUAL REPORT 2024-25
A very delightful good evening to everyone gathered here. It is my proud privilege to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to our esteemed Chief Guest, Madam Sushma Vaishya the District Education Officer of Indore, the honourable directors and members of the school management committee, respected dignitaries, distinguished guests, respected parents, dedicated staff and my dear students of Shri Devi Ahilya Shishu Vihar school.
It is my profound honour to present before you the remarkable and unwavering ascent of our school’s achievements. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for playing an integral role in this glorious journey.
The annual report not only highlights the remarkable achievements of our school but also provides valuable insights, encouraging us to reflect deeply on areas for further enhancement.
I commence with an overview of the academic performance in board classes X and XII
In class X Ms. Vaishali Sajnani secured I position with 92.80% marks and Ms. Vaijayanti Sajnani secured II position with 92% marks. 62 students obtained I division marks in CBSE board.
In class XII 54 students secured I division marks. Master Harshal Paranjiya secured I position with 90.40% marks in Science group and second position was secured by Master Vagesh Neema with 89.80% marks. In commerce group master Arav Mishra secured I position with 90% marks and Miss Prabodhinee Sharma secured II position with 88.40% marks.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to nurture leadership skills in students, the student council was established once again this year, upholding our cherished tradition. Students are divided into four houses. Raman House, Ramanujan House, APJ House and Bose House. The Investiture ceremony was officiated by Mr. Mayur Jain, the branch manager of UCO Bank, Indore who is the aluminus of our school too.
Coming to the achievements in various competitions
In Senior Bal Vigyan held on 6th January 2024, students won best aim and utility award in Physics and best question award in Mathematics subject. Again on 23th November 2024, in senior Bal Vigyan their is one more achievement of winning award for best knowledge and content award for temple waste management in Social Science. The participating students were Mahi Vyas, Apeksha Raghuwanshi, Leena Bagora and Khushi Tomar from class IX, the observer students were Gracy Harinkeda and Vaishali Sajnani. The project was mentored by Ms. Malini Agashe. Students participated in different subjects such as Commerce, Chemistry and Physics.
In Essay Writing Competition organised by Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat, 46 students participated from class IX and XI. From class XI Prachi Likhar secured Ist position, Poonam Dhami and Anjali Kale secured second position. From class IX Aarna Jain and Vaibhav Jadon secured I position and Garima Jain and Sanskruti More secured II position. Utsav Baswal and Nishita Yadav won consolation prizes.
Our students participated in Debate Competition at Lokmanya Vidhya Niketan, Painting and Greeting Card Making competition at R.K. Daga Maheshwari Academy, Shlok chanting at Indira Vidhya Mandir, Patriotic Group song competition at Pink Flower H.S. School, Debate competition at ILVA H.S. school and Folk Dance competition at Indore Public School.
For winning awards, our teachers are also working too hard and as a result Ms. Sandeepa Mishra our Hindi PGT won second prize in Debate Competition hosted by Ahilya Utsav Samiti, Indore.
Out talented students also presented a program at Aakashwani titled “Kal ke Sitare Bacche Hamare”. School also participated in group song competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad. There was an active participation in MUN at Symbiosis University also.
Now I am coming to the very-very special achievement of the school. I am extremely fortunate to announce that Siftee Saluja and Atharv Jain from senior section participated in CBSE regional science exhibition which was held on 8th and 9th November 2024 at Vidyasagar School, Indore. Our School secured Position in the senior category. The theme of the exhibition was “Natural Farming”, and our students presented a project titled “Agri Rover”. Miss Aakanksha Malviya serving as their mentor. As a result of this achievement our school is eligible to participate in the national level competition, which will be held in Delhi in February 2025.
At school level various competitions like Debate, Greeting Card Making, Bhajan Competition, Poem Recitation, Fancy Dress etc. are always conducted. This year inter house startup and best idea presentation was also organised to make children aware about business ideas to nurture their insightful thinking and vision.
Now coming to the sports competition, I am thrilled to share that Ms. Ishika Karnik of class VIII, who served as the team captain of the Indore District Baseball team, secured I position and was selected for the district team. Vidhi Purohit, Devansh Parmar of class VI also participated in Baseball, were the runners-up and were selected for the district team. Shreyansh Patel and Krishna Rajoriya of class VIII also participated in Baseball were the runner-up and were selected for the district team. Rudra Karwal of class X participated in Gymnastic and secured runner-up position.
To make, informed decisions by understanding skills, interest, and personality traits career guidance at adolences stage is the need of the hour. In the lieu of same, career guidance sessions were organised by the school with the collaboration of Shree Cloth Market College of Professional Studies under the expert guidance of Ms. Shikha Khandelwal and Ms. Kamini Thakur.
Similarly a career counselling session was arranged for commerce students under the expert guidance of Ms. Sarita Mundra and Ms. Sunita Totla, faculty of Shree Cloth Market Commerce College.
To provide an exposure of different universities at global level, deligates of Pimpari Chinchwad University, Whistling Wood International, Mumbai SRM university, Andhra Pradesh, Silver Oak University, Chandigarh, MIT, Pune, Mahendra University, Shree Arbindo Institute of Technology marked their presence. Students were extremely benefitted with these career guidance sessions.
Coming to the series of special guest lectures :
A session for Economics was taken by Dr. Deepak Mansaramani an esteemed faculty from Nahata Academy
A session on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Crime for class IX and X was taken by Mr. Akash Kamal Mishra from Indore Institute of Law.
A special session for the subject Accounts and Physics was arranged and a faculty was called from Shivaji Rao Kadam College.
Workshops and trainings are the integral part of the growth of any institute and here also, school has put efforts with the unwavering support of management and staff.
A workshop on making Robot was organised with the collaboration of Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth under the expert guidance of their faculties.
One day workshop on Yoga and Acupressure was organised under the expertise of Mr. Dushyant Bhai Modi from Baroda University.
A two days workshop on School Health and Wellness was organised at school and 60 teachers were participated from the various schools of Indore, Dewas, Ujjain, Mhow etc.
Our mentors, Ms. Kiran Tiwari, Ms. Aditi Handa, Ms. Sandhya Choubey, Ms. Sandeepa Mishra, Ms. Ankita Parmal and many more attended various workshops organised by COE, Bhopal.
As the principal of the school, this is my responsibility to sharpen my skills and upgrade my knowledge to guide teachers and students. To hold this responsibility, I have taken sessions as a Resource Person under COE, Bhopal at Harda, Khargone, Dhar, Sehore, Akodia, Bhopal, Mhow etc. on Stress Management, Life Skills, National Curriculum Framework at foundational stage, Creative and Critical Thinking, Happy Classroom, Value Education etc.
I am extremely grateful to the management, parents, teachers, non teaching staff members, and students for their support and trust due to that, school is elevating high.
